Exploring Advaita, Consciousness and the Nature of Reality

What is Satsang?

"Satsang" comes from the sankrit words "sat", meaning true or truth, and "sanga", meaning company, so can be loosely translated to mean in the company of truth. Traditionally these were often meetings in the presence of a "guru" or spiritual teacher, whereas in the West they are also referred to as non-duality meetings and are more often conducted in an atmosphere of friendship rather than "teacher/guru" and "pupil". The only true guru that one needs is the one that comes from within.

During meetings, in the sharing and pointing to that which is already known beyond thought, a resonance may be felt.
